My Sun Eclipse Photo Story

Maybe longer loading but it's worth waiting

Together with some friends I have been lucky to watch the Total Eclipse of the Sun. We travelled around in south-eastern Bavaria, following holes within the cloudy sky. Finally we reached the lake Chiemsee, where we found an optimum place to experience this great event. What a pity, that the phase of totality has been so short and the next eclipse is so far away...

Though everybody does this, I'll also present some of the photos we took within my Eclipse Photo Story. The page contains Photos of the Sun and also pictures of the story around. The photos are partly copied from the Eclipse Movie that my friend Wolfgang Schrüfer made, there are some from my friend Fritz Hoffmann, the others are taken by myself.

There are two other Eclipse Photo pages on my Homepage: one presenting the personal Sun Eclipse Experiences of Gebhard Oelmaier (incl. photo by Helfried Mallow), the other containing photos by Thomas Baumann. You'll find the corresponding Links at the end of this page.

That's me in the early morning before taking the ride to search the best observation place. We finally arrived at Chiemsee and prepared us and our equipment for the great event.

There it is, the big moment!
It became colder and the impressive Corona appeared. See me taking some photos.

Wolfgang tried to take a Photo Sequence of the eclipse.
The result is not exactly what he expected ...
... but it looks very nice
and interesting.
